For the record, there are officially 15 days until Christmas.
And if that doesn't freak you out...
That leaves exactly 2 Saturdays to finish your Christmas shopping.
My advice...
Tonight, plug in your Christmas tree lights, snuggle your family together on the couch, and read the birth of Jesus together! It's all a matter of perspective, and with Jesus first, the rest of the Christmas "to-do's" won't seem so overwhelming.
Merry Christmas everyone! Happy Birthday Jesus!

Hey Anne...
I thought you might really appreciate my friend, Kim's, recent blog post about their family's Christ centered Christmas. Kim has so many great ideas. You really need to read her blog, Lifesong. Her Christmas traditions are so neat and all about Christ! I am glad that you are enjoying your little ones. They are so precious!

Anne,
Again, one of your remarkable ideas.
We have been doing this in a way all season. Mattie May wants nothing to do with Santa, so when any one ask her if she has sat in his lap, the queswtion really means nothing to her. So we have been teaching her the story of Jesus and in her 11 month old way, she happily tells the story. It may not be very clear and we may have to interpret some of her words, but we feel like this is a good way to remind people of the true reason we are celebrating.

Thanks for the reminder. I'll be sure to steer clear of any public places the next 2 Saturday's. I'm so glad not to be stressed out about shopping.
