Here is the fantastic Sesame Crusted Brie Recipe...enjoy!

Take a round of Brie and cut off the white film that comes around it.
Cut it into bite sized squares.
Roll in a whisked egg.
Roll in sesame seeds (toasted or untoasted, either way is good!)
Place on foil lined cookie sheet.
Bake at 350 for 12-16 minutes, depending on the size of your cheese squares...just keep an eye on them.

Eat with apple slices, pear slices, or plain.  If you don't mind carbs, you can eat on crackers, but honestly, the carbs are so very bad for you so do yourself a favor and just skip 'em.

Deliciousness!

Making Sense

Thursday, March 10, 2011

Yes, I know.  It has been quite some time since I have posted here.  Life's been busy, though I know that is no excuse.  Let's face it, life is always busy when you are raising children.  But I am blessed to be raising these two kiddos, the ones God hand picked for me.  They fill my days with joy, and my heart with love.  It's a blessed life I lead.

And while my life is surely blessed, that isn't a guarantee that it's going to be easy.  Oh, how I wish that were the case, but it's not.  Things lately have been challenging.  It seems there are seasons in life when no matter the choices and decisions I make, people are always unhappy.  I'm struggling today with the balancing act before me...balancing the knowledge that I am doing the very best I can and the confidence that my decisions are the right ones with the emotions and opinions of others.  I know in my heart I'm doing the right thing, but unfortunately, not everyone thinks that way.  There are hurt feelings and frustrations, as well as anger and disappointment, and I am having to learn how to maneuver through this journey the best I can.

Okay, enough of that.  And as they say, this too shall pass.

I just slid dinner in the oven...ground almond crusted chicken.  Levi is happily playing, and Natalie is devouring yet another big book.  That girl loves to read, just like her mama! :)  Thank goodness for the library and garage sales.  Full price books are no bargain when you are finished with them as fast as she is!  Ha!

I've completed another successful Dittos for Kiddos consignment sale.  It was a super busy 10 days full of hard work, carefully orchestrated scheduling between Nathaniel and I as we cared for the children, and lots and lots of details.  But it is done, and it was a success.  I am still making up for lost sleep, but I am smiling and looking forward to the next sale...after a few months of rest of course!

God is good, and His mercy is new every morning.  I'm claiming it!
