Everything Under the Son

Because JESUS is my everything

A Living Prayer

On Mother's Day, I sang a solo for worship service at church. It was a special day, and one full of emotions for me. I love celebrating my own mother, and all of the ways she has helped to shape my life. I love celebrating my own motherhood. Spending the day with Natalie and Levi is wonderful, but I would be lying if I told you there wasn't something missing. Not being able to hold and celebrate with Hope and Carson makes Mother's Day hard. I miss them so, and I am forever their mother. I cannot wait for Heaven...it will be Mother's Day for me again!

Singing this song was great...difficult, but great. The words are so powerful. They speak so well of the emotions I have. I must cling to the Hand of God, for He will walk with me through life. I want to live my life giving glory to Him. When I begin to feel angry or bitter for the pains in this journey, I remind myself that it is through Jesus that I can have hope. I cling to Him, knowing one day I will see my babies again. I cling to Him, and strive to lead life as a Living Prayer.

Here are the lyrics...

In this world I walk alone
With no place to call my home,
But there's one who holds my hand
Through rugged roads, through barren lands.
The way is dark, the road is steep,
But He's become my eyes to see,
The strength to climb, my griefs to bear.
The Savior lives inside me there.

Chorus:
In Your love I find relief,
A haven from my unbelief.
Take my life and let me be
A living prayer, my God, to Thee.

In these trials of life I find
Another voice inside my mind.
He comforts me and bids me live
Inside the love the Father gives.

In Your love I find relief,
A haven from my unbelief.
Take my life and let me be
A living prayer, my God, to Thee.

Take my life and let me be
A living prayer, my God, to Thee.
