Everything Under the Son

Because JESUS is my everything

More Gratitude

Saturday, November 07, 2009

Sunday, November 1 - I am thankful for my ears...and for the laughter that awakens me, listening as my children laugh and play together.

Monday, November 2 - I am thankful for the crock pot...dinner is already cooking, nourishment for my family after a hard day of work.

Tuesday, November 3 - I am thankful for Nathaniel. God blessed me beyond measure when He paired us together. Nathaniel loves me just where I am...no matter what. I am truly grateful.

Wednesday, November 4 - I am thankful for my house-shoes! After a long day in not-so-comfy shoes, I am thankful that I can slip my feet into my house-shoes...and know that I am home for the evening, spending time with those that I love.

Thursday, November 5 - I am thankful I am me. Sometimes I get completely wrapped up in all of the big dreams and aspirations I have. Dreams to use my voice, and singing, to lead many to Jesus...maybe thousands someday! Dreams to write children's books, and maybe even a book about the loss of a child. Plans to serve in this big way, or that big way. Oh yes, I always have plans. Lately, though, I have been seeking to focus more on the big plans that the Lord has for me right now...plans to be in my home, taking care of those who are there with me. After all, there are lots of people who can sing...and lots who can sing better than I. There are lots of people who can write books on many topics...writers much better than I. But there is only one me...I am the only one who wears the title of wife to Nathaniel, mother of Natalie, Hope, Carson, and Levi. I am the only one God has called for this...and I am thankful to be the one He chose!

Friday, November 6 - I am thankful for Mommy-Daughter time. Natalie and I were able to spend some time together today, just us! It is so great to share time as just the girls, and the conversations are so precious. She is growing into such a beautiful young lady, inside and out, despite all of my parenting blunders and mistakes. The Lord is so good to me...I sure love my girl!

Saturday, November 7 - I am thankful for family time! We are spending the evening eating popcorn and watching a movie together. Granted, it's not turning out to be a great choice for a movie, but I checked it out from the library, so at least it was free :) The kids are having hot cocoa, and Nathaniel and I are sipping fresh coffee, as we snuggle in the living room watching a movie together. I am thankful for times like this, when we slow down and spend time together!
