Trying it Out
Wednesday, April 30, 2008
Today, I decided I would try my hand at making some homemade bread. I have pondered it for some time, but always talked myself out of it. I would tell myself it was to difficult, or too time consuming. Really, I think I just needed some motivation to not be lazy! With gas prices soaring, as well as the price of milk and other groceries, I found my motivation to at least give it a try!
I am following this simple recipe.
I will let you know how it turns out...so far-so good! It is rising as I type!
Until then, why don't you give it a try...and be sure to let me know how it turns out! And while we are on the subject, what are some ways you are trimming expenses? Share with us...

Nothing smells better than fresh bread baking in the oven! Traci is our resident bread maker. If it doesn't turn out the way it should (but I am sure it will) she could give you some pointers. If you have any left, I wouldn't mind a sample at Manna and More tonight!
I LOVE homemade bread! I am trying to cut out some carbs right now, otherwise I would try to make some, too! Let us know how it turns out. YUM-O! As far a penny-pinching... I dont have many tips right now. I am always a thrifty shopper and not sure I can do much more at this point. We have gotten some eggs from the ladies at Will's office instead of paying almost $2 a dozen at the store.
For one I switched back to dry powdered laundry detergent over liquid. I get so many more loads. I also used to keep the kids closet lights on at night and now they both have cute cars and cinderella night lights from dollar tree.
